The Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Béja (ISBB ) was created in 2006 by decree N°1587 dated June 6, 2006, concerning the creation of higher institutions of education and research.
We are proud to be part of the University of Jendouba which brings together the institutions of higher education and research offering training in many fields
The ISBB adds richness and diversity to all these disciplines owing to its teaching and research in various areas of biotechnology and the agri-food sector.
The institute plays a unique and crucial role within the University of Jendouba’s institutions as its fundamental training opens up to several vital areas for humanity.
To reinforce this role, we are fully committed to making the institute a hub for collaboration and interaction across all disciplines of biotechnology.
We also work to ensure that the sense of belonging to the institute becomes a fundamental element of the identity of teachers, students/researchers, administrative staff and workers. Our motto is “to give the ISBB more that it can give us.”
We hope that this portal will serve as a tool to develop training, integration, study and research areas as well as a communication interface between all stakeholders, both national and international.
I am proud to lead a young institute in close collaboration with determined faculty, administrative staff and workers, all focused on strengthening its influence.
My commitment as director strengthens orientations for expansions and sustainability through a policy of increased partnerships and the design of a more dynamic and efficient institutional strategy.
Our strategic   axes, which are the pillars of our Quality policy and are subject to our commitment to continuous improvement, include:
  • The development of competence and involvement of our administrative and teaching staff
  • The improvement of service quality and listening to our students, as well as other interested parties, by addressing their complaints and suggestions
  • The enhancement of the institute’s attractiveness through the development of a communication strategy
  • The expansion of ISBB’s reach by consolidating its networks in collaboration with national and international partners
Our challenge is for everyone, and primarily for students to find in the internal space of the Institute the best conditions for an excellent university life, and for this interface to reflect the efforts made by all the institution’s staff to support students and researchers on their path to responsible and engaged citizenship in society.

“Together, let’s strive for excellence.”
