License’s students enrolled at ISBB will be registered in the Plant Biotechnology program: LPB.
For Plant Biotechnology students: LPB
The theoretical and practical training prepares students to acquire basic knowledge of plant biotechnology techniques and plant product transformation. It will train professionals in the field of Plant Biotechnology and Sustainable Development in agriculture. This training will provide scientific, technical and practical skills in cereal and vegetable crop technology through targeted training. It will ensure mastery of the theoretical and practical foundations of this field, which will be taught during formal classes, practical workshops, and also during internships at laboratories and/or companies.
The specific objectives are categorized into three levels:
At the Scientific Level:
- Acquire a good scientific level that allows the students to pursue a Master’s degree in the specialty or continue studies abroad.
- Develop linguistic skills and communication, both oral and written, in a clear and unambiguous manner for easy integration into an international environment
- Master digital and technological tools
At the National Level:
- Monitor the quality of plant -based food products and take responsibility for continuing improvement of plant-based food products.
At the Socio-Economic Environment Level:
- Equip the student with tools that ensure easy integration into the socio-economic environment within the specialty. After this training, the student will be capable of thinking like a decision-maker with a strong personality to integrate into the professional environment. In fact, ISBB is surrounded by several targeted professional environments such as: OEP, CRRGC, INGC, agri-food industries, etc.
- Acquire entrepreneurial training that will provide the necessary skills for managing a startup.
For students in the Cereal Valorization and Transformation Master’s (CVT):
This Master’s program aims to offer high quality professional training in the cereal sector, allowing students to acquire solid interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in this field. It trains students both in the necessary knowledge of a field-based breeder and in new biotechnologies. Students will develop competencies that will allow them to ensure continuous improvement of production methods, manage resources, oversee transformation processes, and maintain quality control.
For students in the Aromatic and Medicinal Plant Valorization Master’s (AMPV)
The theoretical and practical training prepares students to acquire basic knowledge in the techniques for the valorization of aromatic and medicinal plants (PAM). It will train professionals in the fields of distillation, identification, and extraction of active molecules from PAMs, as well as in sustainable development for PAMs. This training will provide scientific, technical, and practical skills in PAM cultivation technology through targeted training. It will ensure mastery of the theoretical and practical foundations of this field which will be taught during formal classes, practical workshops, and also during internships at laboratories and/or companies.
The diversity of life is manifested in the plant kingdom by the existence of a multitude of species and varieties that humans can use to give plants the characteristics they need. These wild or cultivated plans are genetic resources. Their conservation and management are essential for preserving the future. These resources are the subject of various research actions: their collection, characterization, description, conservation, and exploitation, as well as their valorization for human and animal food, the environment, medicine, pharmacology, and even the energy sector. The specific objectives are categorized into three levels:
At the Scientific Level:
- Acquire a good scientific level that allows the students to continue their studies abroad.
- Develop linguistic skills and communication, both oral and written, in a clear and an unambiguous manner, for easy integration into an international environment.
- Master techniques for the collection, characterization, description, conservation, exploitation, and valorization of PAMs for human/animal food, the environment, medicine, and pharmacology.
At the National Level:
- Take on responsibilities to continuously improve food products by adding additives from PAM’s active ingredients/
At the Socio-economic Environment Level:
- Equip the student with tools that ensure easy integration into the socio-economic environment within the specialty. Afte this training, the student will be capable of thinking like a decision-maker with a strong personality to integrate into the professional environment. In fact, ISBB is surrounded by several targeted professional environments such as: OEP, CRRGC, INGC, agri-food industries, etc.
- Acquire entrepreneurial training that will provide the necessary skills for managing startup.
